Dr Jig Patel is the most skillful and patient surgery I have ever seen. I had a really bad tear in my knee for more than 5 years and it was so painful and suffering. After comparing with different specialists/surgeries, I chose Dr Patel because of his honesty and professional advice. After surgery, I recovered quickly because surgeon was nicely done and the physio that Dr Patel referred. Now I feel so much better and the pain is almost gone. Finally, I would like to thank you!

The difference between going private and dealing with the NHS is considerable. Mr Patel was worth every pound. He spent a whole hour with me and explained everything in detail. He even pulled up my MRI and showed me where the problem was. He was also very kind in his manner.

I recently had a knee arthroscopy by Jig Patel. I couldn’t have asked for better treatment. Everything was explained clearly to me, there was no waiting time and his manner was friendly and courteous. I had an initial MRI scan which showed the extent of the damage and that an operation was necessary to fix the problem. The operation went very well. I haven’t felt any pain, and was up and walking about the next day, and went back to work after 3 days. Its now 10 days on since the op – my knee feels much better, and im looking forward to starting exercise again in a weeks time. If you have any knee problems i highly recommend you see this specialist.

My care with Mr Ptel from before surgery up until my 6 month follow up has been great. He explained my injury in a lot of detail using the scans giving me a better understanding of what needed to be done. Provided the support post op and pre op and can definitely say one of the neatest scars i’ve seen compared with others. He continued to give me great advice and a realistic outlook on what I would be able to do after the surgery.

I met Dr Patel for the first time a few weeks ago. I was quickly diagonesd me and I got my MRI scan in no time and even more importantly I underwent surgery within a week. 3 weeks later I have fully recovered. Having seen 2 separate consultants to Mr Patel, and on their advice, undergoing 6 knee operations, I reached Mr Patel’s office in a suitably dubious mood. Not only did he actually listen to me and my symptoms, but he also tailored the treatment (operation) to where I wanted to be afterwards. I am pleased to be able to say that I know, for the first time in nearly ten years, have a functional knee capable of doing what I ask it to without pain!!

Extremely impressed with Mr Patel; his authority is self-evident and that gave me confidence for knowing that I was in safe hands. He was also keen to explain the downsides of my procedure and did so in a way that I could assess the risks and rewards of following his advice. His advice was also clearly based on what was best for me and without regard to the work this would give him. Every aspect of my care was first class and I will certainly use him again for the next stage of my treatment even though that may be some years away.

I found Mr Patel friendly and informative. He explained everything regarding why I needed keyhole surgery on my knee in a way that I could understand. The pain in my knee has gone. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
